Hi,

How do I import a non-sequencer file from an other session, to
non-sequencer in the session I'm working on at the moment?
Same question applies for non-daw.

Why can't I just use 'import' and browse the the non-daw file in an
other session and import that?

Well, importing a non-daw sessions would be complicated by the fact that
all the (huge) audio source files have to be copied as well.

What I do when I want to make an NSM session out of projects that were not
previously linked together is:

1. Create new session
2. Add desired clients
3. Close session
4. Copy/move the desired project files/directories over/into the uniquely
named files/directories created in the session folder by clients
5. Open the session
6. Make JACK connections
7. Save session

Ok, thanks. For me it's important that not only non-things works fine in
NSM, but that apps in general are useful in nsm and that you can use
apps project files from other 'jam sessions' in other sessions as well.

Also, using those modular tools are cool, but it's important that you've
the possibility to export the files (in common formats) so you can use
the files for instance in ardour, when you need more sophisticated
features to finish a project (midi and audio).

But I'll try your suggestion and we'll see if and especially how it works.

Thanks again.
