Hi,

Non-seq is the only app, which gives me a good 'vibe' for
composing!(Ardour3 is coming also in the right direction though)

Just to list some issues I did encounter when using non-seq (at least as
backup). More or less from important to less important.

- It fails to save sometimes, e.g. non-seq hangs and the project seems
unusable.
I got the feeling that this could have something to do with
JackTransport (JT). Using Qjackctl for JT control and non-seq gives issues?

- When making a drumtrack, the first beat on the first bar (when it
begins a new loop) seems to have some delay (iirc I noticed the same in
Qtractor some time back). Seems to be more problematic with low beats
then with high beats.

- Midi entered with hardware controller, seems to act different then
midi entered with mouse. The velocity is different (mouse entered midi
event where much louder, while the color indicated that it should have
been reverse) and I can't edit/remove the midi events entered with the
controller, with the mouse.

- I'm missing an 'apply to all function' in several options.
* When I zoom out, it might be nice if all the other patterns also
zoomed the same way.
* When I change a scale in pattern 1, I like to apply it to other
patterns (which will normally play in the same scale, unless it's a
drumtrack).
* Same for note duration/ resolution etc. probably.
* I like to be able to mute all tracks, especially when using it with
non-daw.

- I think non-seq should have common predictable behavior when going to
a new pattern, so you can record midi on the fly, without having to
adjust all kind of settings again (as you did in pattern 1).
This makes composing faster, especially live.

- As mentioned before, when entering midi with the mouse, you've no idea
at what freq range you're. A virtual midi keyb will allow you to see
where you're and to hit a note without being entered in the pattern.

- I do miss a shortcut for 'record on'.

- How do I totally remove a pattern? When I have non-seq in the 'layer'
mode (or is it 'new'), it adds a new pattern every take. But I noticed
the tendency to start at take one again, for a new range of takes.

- Undo/ redo will be handy

Oh and setting the amount of bars (+ apply to all) of the pattern would
be nice. Now you must carefully edit this in each pattern by entering a
midi note by mouse (and then remove that midi note).
